Kaycee and Ahmad were the very first people to reach out and ask for me to shoot their wedding. I remember getting the text and being OVER THE MOON, but also really concerned because I had never shot a wedding on my own. I had 2nd shot a few weddings but for the most part – I felt completely lost when it came to how to navigate the entire conversation.
If you would have told me a few years ago that I would be booking weddings on purpose as a photographer I would have told you that you were INSANE. I had no interest in shooting events because I thought they would be too stressful and I didn’t think I could handle it. Fast forward – after a few years of working in Housing at a University, I became pro at handling difficult conversations, stressful situations, and dealing with some rowdy drunk folks.
Between when they asked me and when I shot their wedding, a few opportunities came through for me to shoot and I realized how much I truly enjoy capturing someone’s big day. So when Kaycee and Ahmad’s big day came – we were ready! This was also the first event that Brandon joined me with for video so keep an eye out for a wedding highlight reel coming soon. A quiet little ceremony and reception at the Concord Event center in Concord, Georgia on a perfect sunny day. The weather was pleasant, the entire day went smoothly, and we captured so much of their love. Below is a list of vendors from the day and some of our favorite images.
