I love a cinematic shot that makes you weak at the knees - but I equally love a simple shot of someone you love doing the worm on the dance floor just to make you smile.

My work focuses a lot on artistically capturing the joys of life. Preserving someone's existence in a way that honors their unique humanness.

Give me all the messy, honest, and chaotic moments.

My husband and I were long distance for 5 years before we got married. Then he got shipped off to basic training the week after we were married for another year of long distance.

During those long periods apart, photos were what kept me feeling close. I would look at photos of us every night before bed and they carried me through the long days of missing him.

This is why I serve lots of military couples - I know how much those photos mean when you're missing the other half of your heart.

Photography has always been fun for me - but there have been few moments in my life where photos were the only thing to give me solace that I desperately needed.

I lost my dad 2 years ago. I did not have a relationship with him until I turned 18. Even after that he was very much a stranger to me. When I turned 30 I made plans to travel across the country to meet him in person.

He passed away before I got there. I still went and met my dad's entire side of the family. They shared hundreds of photos with me and stories about who he was.

I got to know my dad through photographs and I hold those photos so dear to my heart. For this reason I always look for moments between people and their loved ones because you truly never know when a photo is all you have left.

I do this because photographs are sometimes all we have to hold on to

I feel like sharing it with you will give you a perspective on why this business is so meaningful to me.

my journey to get here is kind of a rollercoaster

the earliest memories I have with photography start when I was about 12 years old. That was 20 years ago.

Back then I just wanted to capture everything - and so I did.

In high school was when I started photographing all of my couple friends who were in love.

I fell in love with photography at a very young age

I got my Bachelors of Fine Arts from Jacksonville University in 2016.

My program was heavily based in learning photography on 35mm film and processing those in the dark room.

This really shaped my love for black and white photographs and influences the way I shoot today.

I studied Photography in College

When I graduated with my BFA I knew a lot about art but nothing about business. I was so scared of being a starving artist that I decided to go on and get my Master's Degree in professional counseling.

I worked in a coaching / counseling role in Higher Education for about 5 years before realizing I just really wanted to be an artist. It took a long time but I slowly figured out how to make my art into a viable business.

I used to wish I would have started my business straight out of art school. now I see how much the knowledge from my Master's degree helps me in my day to day operations.

I am a people first photographer. I want you to feel comfortable because that will translate in your photos. So I spend a lot of energy making sure people feel their best.

that's how I get the best photos of people.

Now I have a really unique vision

I've been holding a camera since I was 12...

I grew up loving this medium and now I get to grow old still loving it.

Every day is a new opportunity to create for me. This isn't just a hobby - this is my life's work.
